Following in her father’s footsteps, Sharon started her upholstery business in 2011. Commissions are taken on in her workshop which is located at the back of the shop. Sharon is happy to use a top fabric of the customers choice. A small number of interesting fabrics are available in the shop for sale by the metre or textiles can be ordered in. Green Chair is a stockist for Abraham moon, Romo, Prestigious Textiles, Voyage, Balmoral Textiles, Chieftain Fabrics, Ross and Kayospruce.
All of the framing takes place on site too. Choose from an array of styles and colours to bring out the best in your paintings, prints or family photos. The gift shop also stocks original artwork by sneem artists Roland Hunter, Brushwood Studios, Saffron Willetts and Jan Houchen.
Curtains and Blinds
Ask Sharon for advice on soft furnishings for your home. Small curtains and roman blinds are made in the workshop. Larger items are made in Ireland by Corcoran Window Furnishings. We specialise in fitting Twintex blinds which are roller blinds made from the fabric of your choice. These are a high end blackout blinds which have a wipeable, mould resistant backing. We also supply standard roller, venetian and perfect fit blinds. We can also supply and fit curtain tracks and rails.
Sharon stocks Danelle lampshade kits. Try them yourself or get a funky lampshade made to enhance your space.
Buy what you need in the haberdashery section of the shop to fix your clothes. Or better still chat to Tina about any repairs or alterations you need doing. Again, these are done in the workshop. Tina replaces broken zips and also shortens skirts and trousers. She does not take on tailoring work.
